Concrete Slab Repair - Peabody, MA

Problem:
A portion of the existing concrete slab within the Cardinal Health distribution warehouse was experiencing structural distress under heavy forklift traffic. A void had developed underneath the concrete, and the weight of the forklifts were buckling the slab downward when passing over this particular area.

The facility operates 24/7, except for a 12 hour window on the weekend. Any work that was to be done had to be completed within that particular timeframe.

Solutions:
Northeast Helical LLC successfully stabilized the concrete slab. A grout mix was designed to to fill the underslab void and harden for the start of the next work shift. The project was completed in one working day, and the distribution facility was not interrupted by our operations.
