Helical Piles for New Bay Bridge - Wolfeboro, NH

Problem:
A new bridge was planned over an existing stream leading to Lake Winnipesaukee. Site access was very limited and low overhead wires made pile driving very difficult. Furthermore, nearby businesses could not be disrupted by both the noise and vibrations caused from pile driving.

Solutions:
Northeast Helical LLC successfully installed twenty five helical piers within the restricted site. The helical piers anchored into the glacial till and the piles advanced down from 17 to about 20 feet deep. The pile installations did not disrupt the local business nor impacted the overhead wires. The work was successfully completed in 2 working days.
